CX Tech Top-ups: IntouchSurvey® Updates and New Templates!

At Intouch, we are committed to continuously improving our platform to meet the evolving needs of our clients. This month, we’re excited to introduce several updates to enhance the IntouchSurvey® experience. Our latest improvements include an upgraded Smiley Face Rating system and new Skip Logic features based on Location and Location Tags, offering more flexibility in survey customization. Additionally, we’ve expanded our survey template library with two new industry-specific templates: the Restaurant Menu Feedback Template and the Restaurant Dine-In Experience Template, giving restaurant operators valuable tools to capture guest insights with ease.

Improved Smiley Face Rating

What’s New?

We’ve upgraded our Smiley Face Rating system to more accurately reflect user sentiment. Rather than using the same smiley face across all responses, the visual feedback now aligns with the rating given.

How it Works

A low rating (e.g., 1/5) will be represented by a 😞 face, while higher ratings (e.g., 5/5) will display a 😄 face. Each rating will now correspond to an appropriate emoji, creating a clearer representation of how respondents feel about their experience.

 

Why it Matters

This update makes it easier for both respondents and survey administrators to understand and interpret customer satisfaction. With clearer and more intuitive smiley faces, the ratings now better match the feelings behind them, leading to more accurate data.

 

Skip Logic Based on Location

 

What’s New?

Survey admins no longer need to rely on complex JavaScript to implement location-based logic. With our new feature, a 'location nodes' option has been added to the Logic section, simplifying the setup of conditional questions based on the respondent’s location.

How it Works

Admins can easily configure which questions or sections are shown or hidden based on location. For example, if a respondent is located in Chicago, a specific question can be set to appear only for those within that location.

Why it Matters

This update saves significant time for survey admins by eliminating the need for custom coding. It also allows for more tailored and efficient surveys, ensuring that respondents only see relevant questions based on their location, which can improve response quality and user experience.

 

Skip Logic Based on Location Tags

 

What’s New?

Building on the location-based logic, we’ve introduced the ability for admins to configure skip logic using location tags. This makes it easier to customize the survey flow based on specific tags linked to a respondent’s location.

How it Works

Admins can now set up rules that show or hide questions based on the location tags selected by the respondent. For example, if a respondent’s location is tagged with "HasCarWash," a specific question can be made to appear only for those respondents.

Why it Matters

This feature enhances the customization of surveys, enabling admins to tailor questions more precisely to the respondent’s context. By utilizing location tags, surveys can be more relevant and targeted, which can improve response rates and the overall quality of data collected.
